Job Overview

A prominent General Contractor in the RIO GRANDE VALLEY is on the lookout for a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Project Leader with extensive commercial experience to enhance their team. The MEP Project Leader plays a crucial role in delivering leadership and management to assigned projects in a safe, profitable, and timely manner. This position oversees the MEP aspects of construction, ensuring adherence to quality standards and integrity while actively participating in all phases of the assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities of the MEP Project Leader Include:
Ensuring the success of MEP projects, focusing on safety, schedule adherence, profitability, and quality. Building and maintaining professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Promoting the orderly and timely completion of projects in the field. Collaborating with the Project Manager to determine the means and methods necessary for successful and profitable project execution. Coordinating with the Project Manager and the procurement schedule alongside the Project Engineer, with a focus on preventing and documenting delays or changes. Utilizing available reports to manage costs and prepare accurate financial projections. Reviewing and executing all change orders effectively. Completing close-out requirements and punch lists in a timely manner. Providing valuable feedback to estimators for future bidding or negotiations, particularly regarding subcontractor performance evaluations.Qualifications for the MEP Project Leader:
A 4-Year Degree in a Construction-related field or equivalent technical training and/or relevant experience in Commercial Construction. Minimum of 5 Years of Experience Proven experience in managing construction projects with a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, and cash flow procedures. This managerial role requires the ability to oversee large and complex projects, potentially managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
