Job Summary

The Development Associate is a key member of the Project Self-Sufficiency team, responsible for advancing the organization's mission through effective fundraising and community engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fundraising campaigns to secure donations and support from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, prospects, and partners to foster a culture of philanthropy and community involvement.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, including logistics, program development, and post-event stewardship.
  • Prepare and disseminate reports on giving, events, and campaigns to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the team to create and disseminate marketing materials, including drafting, copying, filing, mailing, and emailing.
  • Track grant application and report deadlines, and organize grants and related materials as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of non-profit industry development experience and a bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of fundraising software and tools, with experience working in a related field a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, with a high level of ownership and initiative.
  • Deadline-driven, with a strong attention to detail and ability to see the big picture.
