Overview:
CV Library is currently seeking a seasoned electrical engineer to enhance our Water group. We are looking for an electrical engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Our Water Discipline is expanding, and we have thrilling projects that require motivated engineers who thrive on diverse assignments, including hydropower (generators, switchgear, transformers, relays, controls, and auxiliary electrical systems), electrical infrastructure for water management facilities such as flood control and pumping stations, reservoirs, and canals, as well as hoisting equipment related to hydro facilities and navigation systems.

Our projects feature unique designs and offer a wide range of stimulating work to keep our staff engaged and challenged.

Our forthcoming project portfolio includes involvement in some of the largest infrastructure initiatives in the country.

Responsibilities:
Oversee projects for the repair and/or upgrade/replacement of hydroelectric generators, breakers, transformers, and auxiliary systems.
Lead the design initiatives for the upgrade/replacement of hydroelectric auxiliary electrical systems.
Direct the preparation of bid documents (Plans, Specifications, and Cost Estimates).
Contribute to the design efforts for proposals.
Mentor junior engineers and designers.
Review, edit, and compose technical reports.
Review, edit, and draft technical specifications.
Establish design criteria for projects.
Supervise teams of drafters in preparing design drawings.
Conduct QA/QC by verifying design methodologies, calculations, and outcomes.
Lead field inspections and surveys to support repair, design, and construction activities.
Develop design alternatives.
Assist project managers and leaders in creating proposals, business development, client communications, and designs.
Prepare training materials for clients and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional engineer licensure (or intent to obtain licensure).

At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, focusing on medium and high voltage equipment and auxiliary electrical systems.

Familiarity with rotating equipment (generators, exciters, motors).
Experience in designing auxiliary electrical systems (protective relaying, instrumentation and control systems, station service).
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and their application in designing electrical systems and equipment.
A willingness to work on a variety of project types.
A commitment to collaborating in a team environment to learn from and teach others.
A hands-on approach, including site inspections, construction, and manufacturing shop tests.
Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD) is preferred.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Attention to detail is essential.
Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers projects or familiarity with Corps' design guidelines is advantageous.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for job-related communications and instructions.
