The Mental Health Worker is a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, providing direct patient care, monitoring, and coordination of milieu groups under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Maintaining current education and providing for the ADLs of adult and geriatric patients is essential. De-escalation strategies are utilized to assist patients with self-regulation, reducing restraint and promoting a safe environment.
The Mental Health Worker will also ensure the practice of Recovery Oriented and Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and monitoring
- Coordinate and execute milieu groups
- Monitor unit tone and activity to ensure a safe environment
- Utilize de-escalation strategies to assist patients with self-regulation
- Assure the practice of Recovery Oriented and Patient and Family Centered Care Model
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 2+ years inpatient psychiatric experience (in lieu of Bachelor's degree)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Previous group experience preferred
