Position Overview

The Healthcare Assistant II operates under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider to carry out tasks aimed at supporting patient care for designated individuals. This role encompasses all responsibilities of the Healthcare Assistant I and demonstrates full proficiency in the clinical functions required for the specific healthcare setting.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Educational Background - Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, or a comparable mix of education and experience that qualifies for the Washington State Certification examination.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant in Washington State upon employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within the first month of employment.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational Background - Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, or a comparable mix of education and experience that qualifies for a National Certification examination.
  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon employment.
