Work Schedule: Day shifts
Role Overview:
  • This role encompasses the daily therapeutic interventions for designated individuals in a rehabilitation setting, operating under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist, in alignment with the established protocols of the facility, Medicare, private insurance, and Quality Care Rehab, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the licensed Physical Therapist in executing treatment plans and procedures.
  • Conduct routine therapeutic procedures as per the established treatment plan.
  • Monitor, document, and report to the supervising therapist any relevant conditions, reactions, and responses associated with assigned tasks.
  • Communicate significant observations to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Engage in the educational initiatives of the facility.
  • Guide Physical Therapy Aides in delivering physical therapy treatments as required, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the treatment area post-intervention.
  • Coordinate with the patient's physician regarding treatment progress and patient status, in consultation with the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current certification from the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • State licensure in the relevant therapy profession.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks safely, including lifting, transferring, and positioning patients without risk to self or others.
  • Capability to conduct minimal assist transfers, defined as the ability to lift and manage up to 50 pounds.
