About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Property Operations Manager to join our team at Fairlawn Management Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: The Regional Property Operations Manager will be accountable for the successful operations of a portfolio of properties and communities in the assigned region.
  • Talent Management: The Regional Property Operations Manager will be responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and leading community and market-based staff.
  • Performance Monitoring: The Regional Property Operations Manager will lead regularly scheduled meetings to report on both leading and key performance indicators for all communities and scattered site portfolio.
  • Financial Management: The Regional Property Operations Manager will review and audit property performance vs. budget, communicating with corporate office and ownership entities as necessary.
  • Market Research: The Regional Property Operations Manager will work with Fairlawn team to set market rents, conduct market research, and define leasing goals.
  • Leasing and Sales: The Regional Property Operations Manager will review and approve leasing incentives for community and market-based staff.
  • Capital Budgeting: The Regional Property Operations Manager will contribute to the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Property Inspections: The Regional Property Operations Manager will inspect properties to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
  • Resident Services: The Regional Property Operations Manager will handle any resident services that need to be escalated beyond the Property or Market Managers.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 7 years progressive management/operations experience, with a strong customer service background, preferably in property management or hotel management.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or 5+ years Property Management Experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Industry Designations: Preference to candidate holding at least one industry designation/certification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with relevant technology, including Microsoft Office, AppFolio, and Outlook.
  • Soft Skills: Superior attention to detail, high energy, and a positive attitude.
