Job Summary

Dewberry is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to lead our MEPS Infrastructure teams designing electrical, mechanical, and structural systems on Water/Wastewater projects. The successful candidate will have experience specifying, designing, and implementing electrical power systems, with a passion for water/wastewater infrastructure.

This role involves interfacing with internally led engineering teams and marketing directly to external clients/owners. The candidate will be responsible for managing planning, design, and construction phase projects, while coordinating with other engineering disciplines, technicians, inspectors, and permitting specialists.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, with 7+ years of progressive design and project management experience, minimum 4+ years in the water/wastewater market. They will also be an accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, or able to obtain them through reciprocity within 90 days of start date.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, who is well organized and has a good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and process control systems. Responsibilities:

  • Manage electrical, mechanical, and structural design teams on Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Manage planning, design, and construction phase projects, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, technicians, inspectors, and permitting specialists
  • Prepare design proposals, support project pursuits, and engage in client management and business development activities
  • Employ earned value and quality management principles to prepare and monitor project work plans, schedule, and budget
  • Contribute to the continued growth of MEPS Infrastructure through attending conferences, supporting articles in professional publications, and actively participating in State and/or National professional associations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of progressive design and project management experience, minimum 4+ years in the water/wastewater market
  • Accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, or able to obtain them through reciprocity within 90 days of start date
  • Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines as needed
  • Experience interfacing with clients
  • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Well organized, with good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and process control systems
