FleetPride Diesel Technician II Job Description

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. We're seeking a skilled Diesel Technician II to join our team.

Job Summary

The Diesel Technician II will be responsible for performing advanced repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This includes preventative maintenance, diagnostic operations, and repairs to various systems such as brakes, suspension, electrical, and exhaust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction
  • Provide customers with preventative maintenance solutions
  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment
  • Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes
  • Troubleshoot and repair suspension systems, electrical systems, and other complex systems
  • Adjust, remove and replace clutches and drivelines
  • Perform tandem alignment, front axle king pin and bushing repairs
  • Perform basic aluminum and steel wire welding
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
  • Diesel Technology Associates degree
  • 3+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks
  • Experience repairing 53' trailers
  • Airbrake certified
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
Working Conditions

The Diesel Technician II will work in a non-climate controlled shop environment. FleetPride is the leader in the industry comprised of retail, service, distribution and wholesale divisions.
