Diesel Mechanic/Technician I

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair issues
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
- 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)
- Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
- Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools)
- Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred
