Job Summary

As a Shift Leader at Taziki's Cafe, you will be responsible for leading a team of restaurant staff to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a smooth operation of the restaurant during your shift. Your primary focus will be on managing the front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including supervising staff, handling customer complaints, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serving Guests: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and serving food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Opening and Closing Tasks: Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the restaurant, restocking supplies, and conducting inventory.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train staff members, provide feedback and coaching, and ensure that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Menu Knowledge: Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and nutritional information.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, including ordering supplies and managing waste.
  • Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and fairly.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment, including adhering to health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Alcohol Service: Provide exceptional service when handling alcohol sales, including verifying ages and serving responsibly.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and bending and twisting.
Qualifications
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience: Prior food service experience preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff members.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and provide exceptional service.
  • Physical Ability: Meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Working Conditions

A typical work day at Taziki's Cafe may include:

  • Morning Shift: 7am - 4pm.
  • Evening Shift: 4pm - 10pm.
  • Weekends: When applicable.
  • Holidays: When applicable.

Hours will vary by store.
