JOB DESCRIPTION:

The selected candidate will collaborate with colleagues in a dynamic agile setting, utilizing their technical, analytical, and communication skills to uphold, enhance, and automate high-quality testing procedures within a rapidly evolving organization.

We seek individuals who are adept problem solvers, capable of thriving in a DEVOPS and Continuous Integration environment, with demonstrated experience in automation scripting that enhances daily operational efficiencies.

Team members are expected to possess outstanding problem-solving abilities and be proficient in Selenium with Java, QTP/UFT, with proven experience in developing test frameworks using Selenium, alongside expertise in the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).


Description

This role involves a QA automation engineer position responsible for developing, executing, and implementing automation strategies for QA testing teams, aimed at improving testing efficiency, expanding coverage, and accelerating time to market.

*Manual testing will be part of the daily responsibilities, not exclusively automation.


Education/Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field (including mathematics and statistics) is required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in automation, programming, and systems analysis.


Key Responsibilities


  • Exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong time management skills.
  • Identify opportunities for automation enhancement and translate requirements into robust, scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Develop automation scripts: create, maintain, and improve existing scripts.
  • Investigate, analyze, document, and resolve reported issues.
  • Maintain a high standard of software/script quality.
  • Successfully implement test development processes, coding/scripting best practices, and conduct code reviews.
  • Design and manage complex data models.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Technical Skills


  • Proven expertise in testing tools such as Selenium2, Selenium3, TestNG, Junit, Grid, Selenium IDE, Appium, Cucumber BDD, Maven, HP Quick Test Professional (QTP), and Unified Functional Testing (UFT/QTP).
  • Experience with VB Script (QTP) and Javascript.
  • New development utilizing technologies such as Java, Python, VB, SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, Linux, GIT, or any other software version control, Selenium, HP ALM, Zephyr, etc.
  • Proven experience in creating test frameworks using the aforementioned technologies.
  • Experience using GitLab for source control and development.
  • Expertise in developing external customer functions using Description Programming with UFT.
  • Proven experience in test plan creation, test case design, test case review, test case execution, defect management, and preparing test reports.
  • Proficient in using Quality Center/ALM or Zephyr for test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Knowledge and experience in SOAP services testing and tools such as Ready API/SoapUI Pro.
  • Strong understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Requirement gathering & analysis, planning, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery.
  • Address technical challenges that will lead to reduced test cycles, increased product speed to market, and improved test frameworks, tools, and technologies utilized by the organization.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex bug fixes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external technology resources.
  • Implement designed processes to enhance testing efforts and contribute to CI readiness.

Required Skills :

  • Extensive experience with Selenium/Java.
  • Experience with Cucumber BDD.
  • Experience with SQL/Database.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Experience with Azure/AWS.
  • Agile testing experience.
  • Must be able to execute, maintain, and modify scripts.

Basic Qualification :

  • Combination of automation and manual testing.
  • Can be an Analyst or Engineer.
  • Will be involved in a Phase 2 project focusing on backend data that drives front-end applications, utilizing a cloud platform with Microsoft Azure.
  • Aim to achieve a CI/CD process flow.
  • Will conduct some end functional testing.
  • Experience with Postman for XML calls.

Additional Skills :

  • Combination of automation and manual testing.
  • Can be an Analyst or Engineer.
  • Will be working on a Phase 2 project dealing with backend data that supports front-end applications, delivered solely on a cloud platform using Microsoft Azure.
  • Goal is to reach a CI/CD process flow.
  • Will involve some end functional testing.
  • Experience with Postman for XML calls.
