Job Overview:
  • The chosen candidate will oversee the management and upkeep of various AWS accounts within the Crescens cloud ecosystem.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement configuration, compliance, and auditing strategies to efficiently govern AWS accounts and resources.
    • Analyze cloud resources and cost contributors, including compute, storage, networking, managed services, databases, service licenses, and marketplace offerings. As part of our Managed Services, monitor resource optimization, elasticity, and identify any underutilized assets.
    • Ensure the security of cloud-based servers through regular patching, backup and restoration processes, server provisioning, firewall configurations, and monitoring system setups. Manage account tagging and containerization for internal cost management and client billing. Oversee cost allocation, security compliance, budgeting, and establish alerts across accounts and workloads. Utilize AWS Config for resource configuration monitoring and compliance evaluation.
    • Employ AWS CloudTrail for compliance audits by capturing and archiving event logs of actions performed within AWS accounts. Implement controls to ensure compliance. Familiarity with monitoring tools, middleware software, and IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is advantageous.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
    • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Cloud Administration.
    • In-depth technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking devices, server operating systems, storage solutions, and security applications.
    • Proficient system administration experience in both Windows and Linux environments.
    • Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
    • Strong understanding of current protocols, operating systems, and industry standards.
    • Ability to interpret technical manuals and procedural documentation.
    • Experience in documenting and maintaining configuration item information in ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms to support IT Asset Management.
    • Experience in public cloud environments, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
    • Familiarity with ITIL principles and processes.
Required/Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field, complemented by relevant experience.
  • AWS Certification (must provide proof of certification).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS.
  • System Administration experience.
  • Experience in public cloud environments, including AWS and/or Azure.
  • Proficiency in automation using established frameworks (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.).
  • Extensive system administration experience in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience in Cloud Administration.
