Account Executive, Education Solutions Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to join our team at Scholastic. This role will focus on partnering with schools and communities to extend literacy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educational sales and a proven track record of success in driving customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve assigned sales goals and develop intimate relationships with stakeholders throughout the accounts.
• Meet with customers to discuss areas of concern and gaps, and develop district contacts and cultivate relationships at all levels to enhance Scholastic's position and drive growth within designated accounts.
• Compile account information on organizational structure, buying process, compensation process, existing products/tools, and produce a prospective business report identifying potential business activities necessary to close accounts.
• Maintain regular contact with the account base, increase revenue from positioning and demonstrating new and existing products, prepare appropriate RFPs, and close sales.
• Generate, develop, manage, and communicate expectations within assigned accounts, and increase scope of penetration within each account.
• Qualify new opportunities and prospects, dimension the size of opportunities, and articulate probabilities of closure.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the company's CRM module for all activity.
• Maintain broad knowledge of company products and their capabilities versus the strengths/weaknesses of competitive products.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of educational related experience.
• 1+ years of selling strategically across a territory, generating and closing large opportunities.
• Achieve sales responsibility and annual goal.
• Proven track record of selling and developing relationships with high-level customers.
• Demonstrable success in driving highest levels of customer experience.
• Preference for candidates with well-established relationships.
• Knowledge of academic curriculum.
• Proficiency with MS Office software, experience with sales automation, customer relationship management, or web-based software programs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including oral presentation skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors, and customers.
