At Andersen, we're seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Expert to join our team. As a Corporate Tax ASC 740 Manager, you'll play a key role in providing tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to our clients. With a strong technical knowledge of corporate and partnership tax planning, you'll be responsible for preparing and reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740.

As a member of our client service team, you'll participate in identifying value-added planning opportunities and communicating with clients and financial managers. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to effectively supervise Senior Associates, Experienced Associates, and Associates. You'll also be responsible for conducting primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740
  • Identify value-added planning opportunities and communicate with clients and financial managers
  • Supervise Senior Associates, Experienced Associates, and Associates
  • Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings
  • Provide ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree required
  • Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree preferred
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD)
  • At least 4 years relevant work experience with an accounting firm, including at least 3 years of Corporate Tax experience
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural facilitator
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient use of technology, including MS Excel
