The Senior Risk Analyst and Business Intelligence Developer, SVP is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in risk management and business intelligence and adapts them for application within their job and the business. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of an Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) by working with risk and business stakeholders and IT teams to define business requirements and identify data sources for stress exposure, stress losses, stress loss drivers, stress loss change explanations, and sensitivity analysis across all risk pools, including wholesale, counterparty credit risk, retail, and market risk.
- Collaborate with risk/business stakeholders to document business requirements, identify key data attributes, develop relevant tools and dashboards to support the Global Systematic Stress Testing program.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to create detailed project plans and timelines and ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards and quality.
- Design and develop Tableau-based visualization dashboards/tools to analyze risk exposures, stress loss, stress loss attribution, and sensitivity across risk pools.
- Design and develop risk dashboards and tools in Tableau to support enterprise risk metrics and risk analytics.
- Manage project timelines, including development plans, milestones, tasks, and dependencies on other systems or developments; Provide periodic project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- A Master's degree in a field such as science, finance, or engineering is required.
- 10+ years of working experience in management consulting, risk management with financial institutions. Experience with stress testing is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of product and risk management across all risk pools, including wholesale, retail, counterparty credit, and market risk.
- Strong change management skills and the ability to drive infrastructure/IT developments; Familiar with software development methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall) and project management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex risk information to diverse audiences.
- 5+ years of working experience with designing and developing analytical tools, data visualization dashboards, and risk reports in Tableau.
- Strong user experience design skills with Tableau; Excellent working experience with large data, complex calculations, and performance optimization in Tableau.
- Strong SQL skills and good knowledge of relational databases; Familiar with big data, data warehousing concepts, and technologies.
