Quality Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and improve the quality management system in accordance with AS9100, ISO 9000, and NADCAP requirements.
  2. Supervise quality department employees and activities, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  3. Provide expert guidance to other departments in resolving quality-related issues and improving product and process quality.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and vendor relationships.
  5. Represent the quality department at regular and unscheduled meetings, fostering open dialogue and cooperation.
  6. Schedule and conduct internal audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  7. Manage the corrective action program, addressing quality-related concerns and implementing corrective measures.
  8. Oversee the customer and vendor complaint process, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
  9. Engage with customers to discuss quality-related matters, promoting Datwyler's commitment to excellence.
  10. Participate in second-party and third-party audits, demonstrating Datwyler's dedication to quality and compliance.
Requirements
  1. Five years of experience managing the quality function in a small-to-medium size manufacturer.
  2. College degree with a focus on engineering or business administration.
  3. Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to train and develop subordinates.
  4. Thorough knowledge of popular quality system requirements, including AS9100, ISO 9000, and NADCAP.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Good technical writing skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
  7. Some knowledge of the rubber seal manufacturing process is preferred.
