Position: Quality Assurance Manager
Industry: Japanese Food Manufacturing
Location: Ontario, CA / Inland Empire area
Compensation: $75K-100K (Depending on Experience) plus benefits
Employment Type: Full-time / Direct hire
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards, guaranteeing that products meet food safety and quality criteria.
- Oversee Quality Assurance personnel to ensure proper execution of verification, validation, and quality responsibilities.
- Maintain adherence to OSHA, FDA, FSMA, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, Organic, Non-GMO, and SAI Global regulations.
- Conduct daily reviews of food safety and quality documentation to ensure alignment with the company's Food Safety and Quality initiatives and suggest corrective measures as necessary.
- Provide independent oversight of production lines, monitoring product weight, bag seals, codes, and testing metal detectors.
- Perform routine internal audits and assessments of all policies and procedures related to industrial safety, sanitation inspections, GMP inspections, pest control inspections, etc.
- Act as a backup for the QA Manager and QA Lab Team Leader in their absence, fulfilling all associated responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a food manufacturing setting, with a focus on Production, Quality Control, Inspection, or Sanitation.
- HACCP and FSMA certification required; SQF or BRC certification preferred.
- Experience with R&D projects and new product development is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
