Job Description:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations. This includes budgeting, accounting, interest rate risk management, liquidity management, and regulatory compliance. The CFO will lead a team of finance professionals and be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

  • Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting processes to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation and evaluation of budgets, capital plans, and financial reports for regulatory agencies and the Board of Directors.
  • Manage the credit union's investment activities, including custodian of funds, securities, and assets.
  • Lead the accounting team to maximize productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and make recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in finance, with at least 4-6 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Postgraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Proficient in generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with budget forecasting, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with senior leadership and other stakeholders.
