Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our national team of project managers in the dewatering, bypass pumping and trenching projects.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee the project management of high-profile projects nationwide, ensuring they are completed successfully, on-time and within budget. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a team mentality among project supervision to achieve safety, performance, financial, and brand identity goals.
  • Assisting Estimating and Operations in planning and formulating designs and solutions for various projects.
  • Visiting project sites, reviewing contract plans and specifications, and analyzing contract documents to understand the scope of work.
  • Negotiating approved terms with customers and communicating with senior management or legal support as needed.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact with customers, meeting with them, and preparing and tracking all correspondence.
  • Attending progress meetings and critical issue meetings, preparing notes, memorandums, or reports as necessary.
  • Coodinating with the Safety Department and supervision to ensure that safety programs and requirements are strictly followed on all projects.
  • Establishing and achieving financial objectives by preparing and tracking a project budget and initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Purchasing equipment and materials, researching efficient methods and sources to keep projects on schedule and under budget.
  • Partnering with senior management to coordinate procurement/assignment of personnel and company assets necessary to perform the work.
  • Managing assigned personnel to ensure job requirements are met and quality workmanship is achieved.
  • Maintaining project files, ensuring timely submission of correspondence to customers, and replies from customers.
  • Ensuring all meeting minutes, schedules, requests for information, and requests for proposals are prepared and submitted per contract requirements.
  • Tracking project progress against customer's project baseline schedule and identifying discrepancies to report to senior management.
  • Troubleshooting problem areas within the project, resolving field and equipment issues when necessary.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum five (5) years of experience in managing construction projects at the federal, municipal, and private sectors.
  • An Associate's degree in construction management or related practical construction experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of budgets, cost accounting, estimating, bidding procedures, contract documents, and specifications at the federal, municipal, and private level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract issue and change order management/processes.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Supervisory experience in managing multiple teams.
  • Skills in workflow analysis and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and/or technical manuals.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements.

Note: A PMP Certification is preferred but not required.
