Building Systems Fire Safety Engineer

The selected candidate will be required to have a strong background in this area. The ideal individual will be prepared to engage immediately and provide assistance for all design elements of assigned projects. A comprehensive understanding of the Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering fields is essential, along with the capability to support a dynamic department effectively. Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit is mandatory.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems for various facilities, including governmental, educational, institutional, and commercial sectors.
  • Collaborate with technical teams such as Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Project Architects to facilitate design progression.
  • Lead the design process by generating reports, calculations, drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and other deliverables.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and installations during the construction phase.
  • Review and approve submittals while providing support for RFI responses throughout construction administration.
  • Engage with clients, utilize project workflow documents, participate in client interviews, estimate man-hours, and assist in proposal preparation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in Plumbing and Fire Protection Design.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) pursuing P.E. licensure is preferred.
  • Experience with CAD and Revit is essential.
