Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Automotive Instructor to join our team at Lawson State Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing curriculum for our Automotive Service Technology program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop curriculum for Automotive Service Technology courses
  • Prepare and deliver instruction for credited academic and technical courses
  • Supervise students and maintain discipline in class, lab, and shop
  • Develop laboratory projects that enable students to relate theory to practical application
  • Administer written and performance examinations to determine students' progress
  • Implement a system of recording student progress
  • Communicate students' progress to students and appropriate personnel
  • Participate in departmental orientation and communicate to students announcements as directed by the administration
Requirements
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent in the teaching discipline
  • Three (3) years of successful full-time experience as a practitioner in the field
  • Ability to facilitate instructional methodologies concerning programs requiring industry chemicals/products
