OVERVIEW:

BluSky Restoration is seeking a dedicated Construction Project Director to play a pivotal role in our success. Our Project Directors are essential for driving sales and project completion. This role offers a competitive starting salary of $70,000 to $110,000 based on experience, along with UNCAPPED commission potential.

This position provides significant earning potential with no limits on commissions.

Salary Details:
Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $110,000
Commission OTE: $70,000 - $200,000

The Construction Project Director is tasked with estimating, securing contracts, and overseeing restoration initiatives. This role collaborates closely with property owners and managers across various sectors, including commercial, multifamily, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, and residential, to provide accurate cost assessments for restoration, renovation, environmental, and roofing services. The Project Director acts as the project quarterback, ensuring that budgets and timelines are adhered to until project completion.

SALES:
  • Achieve or surpass monthly and annual sales targets
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts for the company
  • Promote all services offered by BluSky
  • Convert leads into sales
  • Monitor and document sales activities in our CRM system
REVENUE:
  • Manage and accelerate revenue production in line with monthly objectives
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure timely billing
  • Guide the Project Manager in revenue production
  • Review and coordinate project schedules with the team
PROFIT MARGINS:
  • Develop and manage project budgets in line with target margins
  • Ensure budget accuracy and adjust as necessary throughout the project
  • Enhance project profitability through strategic vendor and labor management
  • Monitor project expenses to maintain margin integrity
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & COLLECTIONS:
  • Initiate discussions at project commencement regarding the AR process
  • Understand invoicing, payment terms, and processes
  • Conduct weekly collection calls
  • Review A/R Aging reports to manage accounts proactively
  • Maintain DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) at or below 75 days
OPPORTUNITY MANAGEMENT:
  • Engage directly with clients and claims teams to finalize leads
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to facilitate closing
  • Document interactions and maintain organized files in BluSky's CRM
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
  • Schedule and attend bi-weekly business development meetings
  • Participate in marketing events such as luncheons and trade shows
  • Engage clients to foster business relationships
  • Collaborate with business development teams in sales pursuits
ESTIMATING EXPERTISE:
  • Accurately sketch affected areas and utilize Matterport technology
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Time and Material (T&M) and Xactimate
  • Estimate projects to align with target margins
CLIENT SATISFACTION:
  • Maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders
  • Set clear expectations with clients from the outset
  • Ensure teams are accountable for providing updates
  • Regularly check in with clients throughout the project
TEAM COORDINATION:

Mitigation:
  • Coordinate timely work authorization signatures
  • Conduct site visits with the technician team to define project scope
  • Share client feedback and scope changes
  • Review daily T&M sheets with the Mitigation team
Reconstruction:
  • Kick off projects by confirming scope and budget
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Project Manager
  • Submit timely change orders for approval
Project Accountants:
  • Oversee work authorizations for job entry
  • Collaborate on invoice distribution
  • Assist with change order uploads
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing/business development and sales within the restoration or construction sectors
  • Strong background in construction estimating and large loss management
  • Availability for evening networking events
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Xactimate and estimating software preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of project management and financial processes
  • Strong ethics and integrity in autonomous work environments
  • OSHA 10 or 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications preferred
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred


TRAVEL:
  • Minimal out-of-state travel required; some overnight travel may be necessary for training or meetings.
