Job Title: Exercise Instructor I

At Vidant Health, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Exercise Instructor I to join our team. As a key member of our Wellness Center, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective individual or group instruction while creating and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to motivation, learning, and fun.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective individual or group instruction through verbal and demonstration of equipment and techniques, observing participants and informing them of corrective measures while creating and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to motivation, learning, and fun.
  • Select, choreograph, and lead instructional methods appropriate for the audience.
  • Maintain certifications and stay abreast of industry advances and best practices.
  • Model mission, vision, and values; follow policies and procedures; actively contribute to organizational goals, promotion of services, team engagement, and experience, customer experience and retention, process and quality improvements.
Requirements:
  • High School, Equivalent (GED) or higher.
  • Zero to two years related experience.
  • CPR certification by one of the following organizations: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, American Safety & Health Institute, or Certified through accredited fitness and wellness organization (Group Fitness Instructor Organization).
