Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our food and beverage team at StepStone Hospitality as an Outlets Server AM FT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Seat Guests: Welcome all guests in a warm and friendly manner, and assist the host or hostess in seating guests as needed.
  • Present Menu and Make Recommendations: Present the menu to guests, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, and wine pairings.
  • Memorize Menu and Orders: Memorize menu selections and wine pairings, including daily specials and basic ingredients.
  • Use Proper Etiquette: Use proper verbiage and etiquette, including serving ladies first.
  • Take Orders and Relay to Kitchen: Write orders on checks or memorize orders, and relay them to the kitchen and service bar using the point of sale system.
  • Observe Guests and Fulfill Requests: Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meals have been completed for guest checkout.
  • Total Bills and Accept Payment: Total bills and accept payment or refer guests to the cashier.
  • Clean and Reset Counters: Clear and reset counters or tables at the conclusion of each course.
  • Assist with Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist in cleaning and wiping down of service areas and prep areas.
  • Maintain Cash Handling Procedures: Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
  • Serve Alcoholic Beverages Safely: Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Handle Guest Complaints: Handle reasonable guest complaints and requests, and inform others when required.

  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and remain motivated.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Helpful with customer service and professionalism.
  • Proven Experience: Proven working experience in a relevant field.
  • Attention to Detail: Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail.
