Xcel Energy Field Operations Supervisor Role Overview

At Xcel Energy, we're looking for an experienced leader to oversee our field credit/collection, revenue protection, and meter reading operations. As a Field Operations Supervisor, you will provide guidance and support to employees in multiple sites, ensuring accurate and timely data acquisition while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled professional to lead our field teams, focusing on delivering exceptional results through effective leadership and strategic planning. Key responsibilities include:
  • Scheduling daily work assignments to ensure completion of field credit/collection, revenue protection, and meter reading tasks.
  • Managing credit, collection, revenue protection, and data acquisition systems to guarantee timely data transmission and integrity.
  • Processing field orders, data acquisition errors, and vacant premise requests while verifying data accuracy.
  • Generating daily reports and maintaining field credit/collection, revenue protection, and meter reading data to ensure billing information integrity.
  • Providing visible safety leadership and driving real-time safety accountability through employee engagement, training, and job site observations.

Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent;
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience;
- 3 years of related work experience in field credit/collections, meter reading, and customer care operations;
- Experience working with bargaining unit employees is preferred;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Knowledge of state regulatory requirements;
- Proven change management and process improvement skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Effective change leadership skills with the ability to communicate company/business area strategies and objectives.

Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $69,700.00 to $80,000.00 per year, along with an annual incentive program, medical/pharmacy plan, dental, vision, life insurance, dependent care reimbursement account, health care reimbursement account, health savings account (HSA), limited-purpose FSA (if enrolled in eligible health plan and HSA), transportation reimbursement account, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), employee assistance program (EAP), fitness center reimbursement (if enrolled in eligible health plan), tuition reimbursement, transit programs, employee recognition program, pension, 401(k) plan, paid time off (PTO), holidays, volunteer paid time off (VPTO), and parental leave.
