Job Overview

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking part-time Kitchen Sanitation Associates to become part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area and ensuring that all food and beverage service equipment is properly sanitized.

Compensation

$18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen utensils, utilizing dishwashers or manual washing methods.
  • Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking spaces.
  • Ensure that sanitizer levels in dish machines and pot sinks meet health standards.
  • Keep all kitchen storage areas neat and organized.
  • Dispose of trash from the dish area and transport it to the designated disposal area, ensuring garbage cans are cleaned and sanitized.

Required Qualifications

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and squatting.
  • Occasional pushing and pulling to move equipment, mops, and brooms.
  • Potential hazards include cuts from broken glass, exposure to hot surfaces, slips, and contact with cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to work in a hot and humid kitchen environment.

Shift Information

Evening shifts, overnight shifts, weekends, and event-based work are required.
