JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Vocational Program Educator will facilitate work experiences, enhance employment skills, provide job training, and assist in obtaining job certifications for youth within our educational facilities. This role involves overseeing youth participants in our vocational programs as they engage in meaningful work and produce items for our community initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops instructional materials and activities aimed at enhancing students' knowledge and skill mastery.

2. Implements effective teaching practices to deliver content-specific lessons, utilizing established instructional delivery platforms and demonstrating proficiency in relevant educational technologies.

3. Maintains open communication with students, educational staff, and all personnel involved in the instructional process.

4. Promotes the mission and vision of the educational institution and adheres to established safety and operational standards.

5. Performs additional job-related duties as necessary.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

STATE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma along with relevant experience in vocational training.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated ability to apply practical skills in creating marketable products or services (e.g., auto mechanics, carpentry, welding, robotics, coding, gaming, or other career readiness fields).
- Familiarity with instructional methods and classroom management strategies that promote positive reinforcement.
- Strong observational skills and knowledge of safety practices relevant to the designated vocational area.
- Understanding of tools, equipment, and materials used in various trades.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to the role.
- Works under the general supervision of school leadership and collaborates regularly with staff.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
A High School Diploma and relevant experience in a trade that involves creating saleable products and/or job certifications, particularly in areas such as auto mechanics, carpentry, welding, robotics, coding, or gaming.
