Role Summary:
The primary responsibility is to identify specific learning and emotional disabilities through comprehensive psychological assessments, while also providing clinical consultations and related services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct, interpret, and document psychological assessments, including cognitive, academic, and projective testing.
- Collaborate with Program Directors and lead educators to ensure consistent and appropriate treatment strategies within each IEP.
- Deliver in-school counseling services on a one-on-one or small group basis as necessary.
- Offer recommendations for educational strategies, modifications, and techniques.
- Explore innovative solutions to maintain continuity and consistency of treatment across various settings.
- Provide consultation, training, and support to Program Directors, educators, service providers, and member districts as needed.
- Conduct structured reviews of services to assess the effectiveness of treatment programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Engage in the IEP team meetings process for students as appropriate.
- Advise general and special education staff on accommodations and modifications to enhance student success.
- Participate in professional development activities, including conferences, workshops, and program visits.
- Deliver in-service training for educators and colleagues.
- Coordinate the assessment tools utilized during the evaluation process.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Psychology.
- Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a School Psychologist for all levels.
- Experience in the field of School Psychology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and discretion.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and on a computer.
- Capability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to navigate all areas of educational facilities as required.
