Key Responsibilities:
As a Material Logistics Specialist within our Material Operations team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Technical Operations team.
To excel in this position, candidates should have experience in material handling within a warehouse environment, be proficient with computers, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include processing requests for aircraft parts and managing logistics movements.
Specific duties encompass:
- Executing shipping, receiving, and stocking of materials.
- Maintaining precise stock levels to ensure the availability of materials for maintenance tasks.
- Preparing declarations for hazardous materials and coordinating shipments through third-party transport.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, and professional, with a genuine commitment to meeting the needs of others.
Compensation:
Starting pay is $18.00/hr.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete dangerous goods declarations for outbound shipments.
- Conduct daily material cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Utilize an inventory tracking system to monitor deliveries and stock levels.
- Assist visitors, both internal and external.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer use, including word processing and inventory management.
- Experience in warehouse operations, particularly in shipping and receiving.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Experience:
- Two or more years in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with aviation materials and hazardous materials handling.
- Forklift operation experience.
