Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems, inspect and test machinery, and perform basic welding activities.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement schedules for preventive maintenance, perform boiler chemical testing, and record results.
  • Work Management: Manage and assign maintenance tasks, coordinate with production staff, and oversee regulatory compliance.
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment, maintain compliance with safety procedures, and develop safety processes and procedures.
  • Administration: Develop and manage budgets, prepare maintenance reports, and maintain equipment records.
  • Negotiation: Identify and evaluate outside service companies, negotiate with vendors, and secure bids for projects.
  • Supervision: Supervise maintenance technicians, teach and train staff, and coordinate training programs.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and replenish inventory, verify receipt of orders, and conserve maintenance resources.
  • General Duties: Respond to emergency alarms, provide maintenance information, and oversee regular inspections of facilities.

Requirements:

  • Equipment Maintenance Knowledge: Minimum 7 years of experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Maintenance Management Experience: Planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, and vendor management experience required.
  • General Boiler Knowledge: Preferred.
  • Basic Welding Equipment Knowledge: Preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Software: Required.
  • Ability to Read Blueprints and Schematics: Required.
