Job Summary

WWC Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to assist our team with various project tasks. As an Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, surveyors, and other professionals to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in engineering design, environmental design, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers and surveyors with daily tasks and projects as needed
  • Perform preliminary designs and calculations under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Research and summarize design concepts, regulations, and other requested information
  • Prepare documentation of work completed and report to the Project Manager
  • Assist with field data collection, including surveying, soil and water sampling, and photo documentation
  • Contribute to the development of design and technical reports in support of project completion
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college program in civil, environmental, or transportation engineering, surveying, computer-aided drafting, environmental sciences, or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
  • Positive attitude and professional manner
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and needs
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position require the ability to talk or hear, use hands or fingers, and handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, or sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment can be low to moderate.
