Job Title: Clinical Dietitian II

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian II to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Clinical Dietitian II, you will be responsible for providing safe, competent, and evidence-based nutritional therapy to our patients. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess individual nutritional needs through comprehensive interviews, medical record reviews, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, including recommendations for diet and meal patterns, supplements, and parenteral and enteral feedings.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop goals related to patient care.
  • Plan and coordinate the use of special dietary regimens.
  • Evaluate nutritional status and make recommendations for optimal care.
  • Counsel individuals, families, and caregivers on normal nutrition and therapeutic diets, taking into account educational, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Plan and conduct group classes on various nutrition topics as needed.
  • Participate in food and nutrition research to demonstrate outcomes and develop policy recommendations.
  • Consult, educate, and advocate on behalf of individuals, groups, and special populations regarding food, nutrition, and health issues.
  • Participate in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of education programs for dietetic interns, students, and personnel.
  • Perform human resource functions, including orientation, training, scheduling, mentoring, and referral process development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Pennsylvania Registered Dietitian License.
