Job Overview

A well-established plaintiff's law firm in Bergen County is in search of a skilled Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal/Case Manager. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in litigation. Previous experience in personal injury law is essential, and familiarity with medical malpractice cases is considered an advantage.

Compensation:

Starting at $70,000 annually, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishing case frameworks, managing case documentation, and tracking important dates;
  • Drafting and submitting legal documents, including discovery requests and responses;
  • Conducting research on expert witnesses and coordinating depositions;
  • Interacting with team members, clients, legal counsel, experts, and court personnel;
  • Obtaining medical and other relevant records through subpoenas;
  • Analyzing documents and medical records, and creating comprehensive summaries and timelines.
Required Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight;
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines;
  • Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving skills during high-pressure situations;
  • Proactive approach with a commitment to follow through on tasks;
  • Respectful attitude towards colleagues, contributing to a positive team culture;
  • Familiarity with TrialPad and/or TrialWorks is advantageous;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, with experience in PDF conversion, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Understanding of local and state discovery regulations;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
