Job Title: Sr. Manager, Production

Aspire Bakeries is a leading North American baking company with a strong presence in the specialty frozen baked goods market. Our innovative food portfolio includes a wide range of products such as breads, artisan breads, buns, cookies, donuts, muffins, and pastries from beloved brands.

The Sr. Manager, Production will be responsible for directing the production administration area, overseeing the compilation process, and gathering records of production data and reports. This role will also involve controlling the production budget, ensuring proper inventory of tools and raw materials, and monitoring the accuracy of inventory consumption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor production charts and statistics for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Review production/operating reports and provide explanations and insights on manufacturing issues.
  • Generate daily reports on production efficiency and waste.
  • Coordinate new product development for bakery production.
  • Audit ingredient consumption and ensure accuracy in SAP reporting.
  • Develop and implement changes to working conditions to improve employee performance and product quality.
  • Ensure proper awarding process for shift staff needs.
  • Participate in production management team meetings.
  • Prepare and present production data to the Bakery Manufacturing Manager.
  • Ensure timely reporting by shift supervisors.
  • Develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology.
  • Resolve worker grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Take responsibility for all activities on site in the absence of Senior Management.
  • Ensure timely written work schedules for temporary agency.
  • Comply with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards.
  • Develop and implement log and inspection procedures, records, and reports.
  • Monitor sanitation department budget and expenditures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science-related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of production and sanitation management experience in the food industry.
  • 15-20 years of food processing and sanitation experience, including leadership experience.
  • Experience in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Travel requirements: 10%.
