We are seeking a Medical Assistant II to support our Psychiatry patients at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will facilitate the smooth flow of patients through the clinic, interacting with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive experience.

The ideal candidate will have certification or registration as a Medical Assistant, or completion of a recognized one-year Medical Assistant Program. You will be responsible for assisting with physical examinations, managing medical records, and administering medications as needed. Additionally, you will perform routine laboratory tests, identify vaccination needs, and provide clerical support.

As a Medical Assistant II, you will work closely with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. If you are a detail-oriented, organized, and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Psychiatry patients and facilitate their care

Requirements:

  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant
