Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembler I to join our production team. As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our team to manufacture and assemble complete refrigeration cases or partial sub-assemblies, including tanks, canopies, base frames, hardware kits, plenums, or other parts as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend assembly work orders and standard work instructions
- Assemble or produce component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies, or completed units
- Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment
- Perform end-of-line product checks and/or repairs
- Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners using hand or power tools
- Notify or communicate with assemblers, leads, and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification
- Work at different workstations as production needs require
- Make recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first-pass yield
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 0-2 years of production assembly work experience
- Previous manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of 6S
- Ability to read and understand all job specifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis
- May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling for long periods of time
