Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembler I - Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Dormakaba Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing assembly and packaging tasks required in the manufacturing process of automatic doors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and components for correct fit, including headers, jambs, transoms, and door panels to established specifications.
  • Package product to established standards, ensuring headers, jambs, transoms, and door panels meet quality standards.
  • Use hand tools to assemble and measure required parts, verifying specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed supplies, and expediting orders.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and/or GED Certification.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • General assembly skills.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position is very active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an assembly/production environment.
