Assembler I Job Description

Hillphoenix is seeking a skilled Assembler I to join our team. As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble complete refrigeration cases or partial sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and comprehend an 'A' order
  • Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies or completed units adhering to the assembly work order/standard work instructions
  • Inspect parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment
  • Perform end of line product checks and/or repairs
  • Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners using hand or power tools
  • Notify/communicate with assemblers, leads, and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification
  • Work at different work stations as production needs require
  • Make recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 0-2 years of production assembly work
  • Previous manufacturing experience
