Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Huntington Park, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care to members with communication and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating, diagnosing, and developing therapy/treatment programs for adults and children with a variety of communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment, and neurological defects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate patients' communication and swallowing abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Administer diagnostic tests and provide individualized treatment to adults and children with communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment, and neurological defects.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  4. Provide in-service training to healthcare staff on basic elements of speech therapy.
  5. Supervise the development and treatment of Speech Pathology Assistants.
  6. Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of speech therapy by attending professional seminars and workshops.
Requirements:
  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • One (1) year clinical experience in dysphasia management and one (1) year clinical experience in Speech Pathology.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist License (California).
  • Basic Life Support.
