Process Automation Manager

Job Summary:

The Process Automation Manager will lead a team of engineers in implementing modernization and industrial transformation of ADM's facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial automation systems, project execution methodologies, and the ability to work with a remote team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate team efforts with Operations and other Technology Centers to support operations and execute strategic projects.
  • Develop and implement process automation installations and tasks in plants and areas under purview.
  • Ensure automation standard work is successfully maintaining safe and reliable plant operations.
  • Develop team members by providing guidance, training resources, and individual development plans.
  • Proactively mitigate risk and optimize processes through new technology and continuous improvement of automation systems.
  • Drive defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for process automation aligned with Global Operations.
  • Develop written standards and drive successful change management throughout area of responsibility.
  • Ensure sustainment of ADM's continuous improvement methodology, Performance Excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Process Automation, Engineering, Manufacturing or related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with one or more process control platforms.
  • Proven experience in intelligent process automation planning and development.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate at a conceptual level as well as at a hands-on, practical level.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to skillfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and succeed in an environment of competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to environmental, safety, and quality compliance and improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, resolve conflict in a healthy and effective way, influence multiple plants, and be comfortable working on the factory floor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while leading with ADM values of respect and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability including working with remote team members.
  • Financial acumen and ability to effectively manage and control costs.
