The incumbent will work closely with healthcare professionals, sharing the responsibility for patient medication therapy outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include:

  • Ensuring the safety and efficacy of the medication use process.
  • Processing and dispensing medications according to prescriptions.
  • Monitoring medication therapy for effectiveness and safety.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Overseeing pharmacist extenders and maintaining medication security.
  • Protecting patient confidentiality and information.

Support and Continuity:
Additionally, the role requires providing drug information support to medical staff, ensuring seamless continuity of care, and identifying potential challenges in common scenarios.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A current Indiana pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and/or PGY2 pharmacy residency may be necessary.
