Recovery and Empowerment Specialist

The Recovery and Empowerment Specialist at Jefferson Health will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals on their journey towards successful community integration. With a strong focus on empowerment, self-determination, and understanding, this specialist will inspire hope and promote resilience through mentoring and service coordination.
As a key member of our team, the Recovery and Empowerment Specialist will be responsible for:
- Meeting with treatment applicants to orient them to our recovery model and facilitate engagement.
- Conducting individual and group sessions focused on recovery principles.
- Advising clients on available service options and choices.
- Promoting the utilization of natural community resources.
- Reaching out to patients who may be wavering in their engagement.
- Maintaining ongoing recovery contact with patients and providing support as needed.
- Collaborating with colleagues, visitors, and other staff in line with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Some college courses or an associate or bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Completion of a Certified Recovery Specialist training program.
Additionally, a related background in case management and/or counseling, along with a two-year history of sustained behavioral health recovery, is highly desirable.
