Position Overview:
The Branch Supervisor is accountable for overseeing and managing all operational aspects of the facility, ensuring safety, sales performance, transaction quality, inventory precision, customer satisfaction, facility upkeep, employee relations, and overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and uphold comprehensive training, inspection, corrective measures, and a culture centered on workplace safety.
- Assume total profit and loss accountability. Formulate and manage financial plans and budgets.
- Comprehend, advocate, adapt, and spearhead the organization’s overarching 80/20 philosophy at the Service Center level.
- Consistently attract, mentor, and cultivate both new and existing talent through dynamic leadership.
- Design and execute strategies for the Service Center's growth, focusing on achieving local, regional, and organizational objectives.
- Oversee and direct facility operations concerning sales, customer service, transaction quality, inventory precision, facility maintenance, and logistics.
- Coordinate and assess daily operational activities to ensure customer service and transaction accuracy metrics are consistently met.
- Develop process maps and enforce compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures.
- Evaluate performance using metrics against established goals in safety, transaction accuracy, inventory precision, equipment inspection, preventive maintenance, and other administrative areas.
- Address issues within the flow of materials and implement procedures to guarantee that transactions are accurate 100% of the time.
- Manage all administrative responsibilities, including facility and equipment maintenance, compliance with regulations, and control of expenditures.
- Collaborate with functional support departments to drive profitable sales, ensure an efficient supply chain, develop a productive workforce, and maintain financial integrity.
- Control and reduce labor overtime, premium freight, and repair costs without compromising safety.
- Provide leadership and training to achieve the company's goals and objectives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Proven experience in sales, sales management, and customer service with supervisory experience over a team of four or more employees.
- Experience in Distribution - preferably within the Building Materials sector.
- Prior experience in operations management is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to travel locally during business hours and occasionally overnight.
- Ability to sit periodically, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Capability to lift and move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 120 pounds.
