Job Title: 3rd Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team at ALDI. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations, and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and modify daily work schedules to meet warehouse needs
  • Coordinate job activities and tasks of direct reports, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Oversee receiving and shipping operations, ensuring compliance with established guidelines
  • Monitor processes for inbound and outbound deliveries, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
  • Model company strategy and core values, promoting a sense of teamwork and membership among employees
  • Interact effectively with peers, sharing information and operating in accordance with shared warehouse management objectives
  • Collaborate with other divisional operational areas, communicating relevant information
  • Provide input and recommendations to the Warehouse Operations Manager regarding changes to improve operations
  • Monitor service providers within the warehouse, ensuring acceptable performance
  • Ensure communication with the in-house carrier regarding daily schedule changes and needs
  • Monitor the competitive environment, informing management of necessary adjustments
  • Recommend personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate
  • Address warehouse issues, escalating or referring concerns as needed
  • Oversee warehouse personnel, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of day-to-day operations
  • Lead, plan, and facilitate regularly scheduled Warehouse Associate meetings
  • Train and develop direct reports to achieve their maximum professional potential
  • Observe and evaluate employees' work performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Supervise the timely, accurate, and efficient storage of product, supplies, and equipment
  • Supervise warehouse teams to ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and operational safety guidelines and procedures
  • Oversee warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor and manage controllable expenses, providing inventory and efficiency results
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, maintaining equipment in proper working order
  • Manage direct reports to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, hot and cold (including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments)
  • Continuous standing, frequent sitting, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the warehouse
  • Frequent lifting and placing product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights
