About the Role

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development, Major Gifts, College of Liberal Arts to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts from alumni, friends, and other stakeholders to support the College of Liberal Arts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to achieve fundraising goals for the College of Liberal Arts.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from alumni, friends, and other stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Collaborate with other development staff to ensure a coordinated and effective fundraising effort.
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in major gifts fundraising or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in securing major gifts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
