About the Role

Underwriting Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Flood Mitigation Field Representative to join our team. This role will be responsible for visiting communities to collect flood information, preparing reports in accordance with established standards, and representing ISO at meetings involving community officials.

Job Description

In this critical role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Community Hazard Mitigation Division to implement the National Flood Insurance Program's (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS). You will be responsible for advising people about flood hazards and how to reduce flood damage, increasing protections for new development, reducing flood risk to existing development, and implementing flood warnings and dam safety programs.

This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong math abilities, and verbal/written communication skills. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows is also required. Additionally, you must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and demonstrate the ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), floodplain management, and/or a college degree in business, engineering, or a similar discipline. Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification is desirable.
