Job Summary

To operate one of the vehicles in the Grapevine Visitor Transportation Shuttle System, transporting visitors on a designated route from Grapevine hotels to shopping venues, restaurants, and attractions within the City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transports visitors on a designated route
  • Reports Grapevine Visitor Shuttle vehicle maintenance needs to supervisor
  • Fuels the vehicle as needed and maintains the vehicle interior in a clean and safe manner
  • Reports accidents as instructed, per City policy
  • Promotes and maintains good public relations and customer service
  • Collects fares as posted and maintains all paperwork regarding collections and ridership in an orderly and correct fashion
  • Makes deposits of collected fares in the prescribed manner
  • Maintains a log noting all incidents, guests, and stakeholder comments
Requirements
  • Ability to count money and make change correctly
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and statistics
  • Ability to organize and supervise employees, customer groups, and special event transportation
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to enforce policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office, a plus
  • Outgoing guest service-oriented individual desired
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, holidays, and weekend hours
  • Geographical knowledge of the metroplex and particularly Grapevine beneficial
Working Conditions

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is rarely exposed to disagreeable environmental factors. There will be some exposure to bright/dim light, dusts and pollen, extreme heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, extreme noise levels, vibration, fumes and/or noxious odors, traffic, moving machinery, electrical shock, and other extreme hazards not listed above.

Safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, hard hats, safety vests, steel-toe boots, back support belts, and seat belts are provided and must be worn as required by department procedures and good safety practices.
