Job Title:

Registered Nurse / LPN

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check daily schedule for patient volume and prepare for patient procedures
  • Organize medications for doctors to administer and update EMR
  • Review patient cases and questions and provide timely use of Tasking in EHR
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and function as liaison between patients, staff, and physicians
  • Ensure proper preparation for patient visits and prepare pertinent information needed for patient visits
  • Provide referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the PMS and EHR
  • Check and maintain logs for emergency equipment according to policy
  • Collect lab specimens according to departmental guidelines and accurately label specimens
  • Obtain vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, height & weight) accurately and completely as required and document appropriately in EHR
  • Demonstrate appropriate telephone triage protocols and document in EHR
  • Schedule appointments accurately according to department guidelines
  • Review and update medication lists in EHR
  • Demonstrate understanding of prescription control and refill procedures, and accurately document known allergies in EHR
  • Enter orders and schedule appointments in the Practice Management System (PMS) and EHR
Requirements:
  • Associates degree required
  • BS preferred
  • NJ State Nursing License
  • NJ State Licensed Practical Nurse Certification
  • Active BLS certification
