Job Summary

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and applicable regulatory requirements. You will evaluate and assess ITT's cost accounting practices, procedures, and systems, recommending and executing improvements as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • In conjunction with ITT's Motion Technologies Executive Management, establish and monitor financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards on a regularly recurring basis.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of financial statements.
  • Coordinate activities of internal and external auditors, as needed.
  • Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
  • Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.
  • Establish a budgeting process and manage the receipt and payment of all invoices, payments, and billing.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
  • Provide senior management with information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Supervise the performance of others regarding accountant reconciliations and other accounting functions, including reporting.
  • Compile statistical data utilized to support footnotes to company financial statements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Five to seven years related experience in finance.
  • Experience must include a specialized knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. CPA or MBA a plus.
  • A proven track record of performance and accomplishments in growing corporations.
  • Experience with Hyperion, Oracle, or SAP, Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Firm knowledge of GAP, CAS, and industry best practices.
  • Management experience.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Advanced Excel experience.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements: efficiency and effectiveness.

Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range:

Annual Salary Range between $82,600 - $123,800 plus benefits
